I never wanted to do this, and I am doing so reluctantly now. Looks like I have to start asking for donations to keep the websites going or they will cease to exist. I've already lost one URL due to lack of funds to renew it.
The need is not urgent yet, since this URL is not due to expire soon, but funds should be there ready to pay when it comes up.
